About the Role
At Meesho, our mission is to democratize internet commerce for everyone. We are looking for an ambitious and resilient Business Development Manager to drive growth across our platform. In this role, you will be the primary growth driver on the supply side-onboarding new suppliers, securing the best prices, and expanding our merchant network to serve millions of customers across India.
What You Will Do
Supplier Acquisition: Identify, connect with, and acquire potential suppliers/manufacturers to be onboarded onto the Meesho platform.
Onboarding & Scaling: Own and exceed monthly/quarterly targets for new supplier onboarding while ensuring they understand the company's terms and conditions.
Price & Trend Alignment: Work closely with suppliers to align product pricing, quality, and fashion/commodity trends with the demands of our platform.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with cataloging, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure a smooth transition from onboarding to the first sale.
Market Intelligence: Analyze competitor pricing, identify broader category gaps, and share on-ground feedback with leadership to improve the merchant ecosystem.
Daily Reporting: Maintain accurate trackers (e.g., LeadSquared, CRM) and submit daily performance reports on leads and conversions.
