Job Description

Primary: Network, storage, compute, billing, multiple domains, security access, backups, patching

  • Hands on administration of all Azure services with a focus on – though not exclusively – compute, networking, identity, and database Azure services; to include tiers 2 and 3 end user support as needed
  • Hands on administration of Windows virtual environment within Azure to include management of GPOs, troubleshooting and resolving OS level issues; to include tiers 2 and 3 end user support as needed
  • Hands on administration of M365/O365 and tiers 2 and 3 end user support as needed
  • Routine auditing, and proactive assessment of, the Azure environment in order to continuously, and systematically, identify opportunities for improvement, service enhancement, and cost optimization for the business
  • Continual assessment and management of risk within the Azure environment to include ongoing and continuous deployment of Azure Security Center (ASC) capabilities and remediation of identified ASC vulnerabilities and risks
  • Driving the organization’s overall backup and disaster recovery capabilities in the cloud; ensuring cloud backups, redundancy, and high availability of all resources is optimized and maintained in order to minimize downtime and maximize recoverability
  • Implementing secure identity management and authentication capabilities via centralized authentication mechanisms; SAML, Kerberos, LDAP, and/or federation
  • Architecting, designing, and implementation of robust, secure, networks, systems, and applications to service the business’s needs within an Azure cloud environent
  • Coordinating and communicating with disparate business and application teams in order to integrate Azure infrastructure components into Venture Global LNG’s processes and procedures – driving business value
  • Additional duties as assigned, ability to work with minimal supervision, and availability to work night and weekend hours as required
  • Strong experience in implementing, monitoring and maintaining Microsoft Azure and data center solutions, including major services related to Compute, Storage, Network and Security
  • Strong knowledge of Backup, Restore, Recovery and high availability strategies for Microsoft Azure and data center environments
  • Strong knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and IaC services
  • Windows Server and SQL database creation, configuration, upgrade, migration and patching
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving Azure environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot Azure server and SQL database related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resources
  • Strong understanding and background of working with a complex Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP and the requirement of strictly following standards, procedures, and processes
  • Advanced knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Kerberos and Windows Authentication
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as: DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, SFTP
  • Knowledge of Network and TCP/IP routing/subnetting
  • Knowledge of Cisco network equipment/IOS: routing, switching, and firewalls a plus
  • Knowledge of modern Windows operating systems
  • Working knowledge of VPN connectivity and client trouble shooting
  • Excellent PowerShell skills
  • Experience with Azure AD, Active Directory including managing/maintaining GPOs
