Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive First Mile Operations Associate to manage the critical first stage of our supply chain. You will oversee the initial movement of goods from suppliers and vendors to our fulfillment center, ensuring accurate order validation, quality control, and timely intake. You will be the vital link that bridges our suppliers with downstream warehouse storage and middle-mile delivery.
Core Responsibilities
Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Managing the intake and pickup of goods from manufacturers, vendors, or seller facilities.
Receiving & Put-Away: Unloading bulk shipments, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders (POs), and organizing products in the warehouse.
Quality Control (QC): Inspecting inbound materials for damage, checking labels, and ensuring packaging meets company standards.
Inventory Documentation: Generating Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), creating pickup manifests, and entering data into Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Carrier Hand-Off: Consolidating and loading palletized freight or parcels onto mid-mile and long-haul transportation carriers.Returns Management: Handling, processing, and logging initial vendor or customer returns.
