RailTel is a Mini Ratna Central Public Sector Company, an ICT provider and one of the leading neutral telecom infrastructure providers in pan India. The company was established on 26 September 2000 and currently owns an optic fibre network on exclusive Right of Way (ROW) along the railway track. The optical fibre cable covers all the prominent towns and cities and various rural areas of the country.
